Your privacy in Almost.
An estimation game with friends. Here is the information used to run your games and the choices you keep.
Privacy policy · Updated October 2, 2026
Your settings, in the game. Open Profile → Privacy to turn off usage analytics. You can also delete your account from Profile.
Who is responsible for your data?
Almost is developed by Joey Barman, the controller of the game’s personal data. For questions or requests about your data: mcfluff@ik.me.
Your account and games
Almost uses your account identifier, email address, player name, language, estimates, results, group memberships and Party participation. This information lets you sign in, resume games, use leaderboards and avoid questions you have already played.
New accounts use Apple or Google sign-in. Email sign-in remains available for existing accounts. You can hide your email: Almost then receives Apple’s relay address. Your player name and results are visible in the relevant leaderboards. Other players cannot see your email address.
Understanding and improving the game
Almost collects usage events and technical errors linked to your account: screens visited, series progress, response times, calculator use, app version, operating system, device family and language.
These events do not contain your calculator expressions, the text of your estimate, your email or your player name. Your numeric answers are stored separately for games and scores.
You can disable this collection in Profile → Privacy. Doing so also deletes your previously recorded events. Raw events are purged after thirteen months. Almost contains no advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.
Hosting and service providers
Accounts and game data are hosted with Supabase, with the Almost project in the Zurich region. Connections to the service use HTTPS. On your device, the session is stored in Keychain, and the app keeps account-specific data to resume games.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple and App Store and TestFlight distribution. Google provides Google sign-in. Diagnostics and feedback sent through TestFlight are also processed by Apple under its own rules. See the privacy policies of Supabase Apple and Google for their respective processing.
Daily reminder
You can enable a daily reminder at 9 am in your phone’s time zone. With your permission, this reminder is scheduled locally on your device. Almost does not collect your location for this feature. You can turn it off in Profile or in your system notification settings.
Retention and deletion
Account and game data are retained to maintain your progress while your account exists. Deleting your account from Profile removes the identity, profile, answers, memberships and associated events from the active service. Signing out alone does not delete your account.
Providers’ technical logs and any backups follow their own retention cycles; they may not be erased immediately when active data is deleted.
Your requests and contact
To request access, correction or deletion of your data, or if you can no longer access your account, write to mcfluff@ik.me. Include your player name and the purpose of your request, but never your password. We may need to verify your identity to protect your account.
